2025 Guerrieri Rizzardi Pinot Grigio — Delle Venezie DOC, Italy
The 2025 Guerrieri Rizzardi Pinot Grigio is 100% Pinot Grigio from the Veneto and carries the Delle Venezie DOC designation. Guerrieri Rizzardi is a historic family producer with estates across Bardolino, Valpolicella and Soave. The winery confirms 2025 as the current vintage.
This is a more characterful Pinot Grigio than many basic commercial examples. Look for peach, pear, and citrus, with peach blossom, floral notes, dried herbs, and flinty minerality. Decanter’s 2025 tasting also found pineapple and mango, followed by a crisp, salty finish.

2025 Clarendelle Bordeaux Blanc — Bordeaux, France
The 2025 Clarendelle Bordeaux Blanc is produced by Clarence Dillon Wines, the family company associated with Château Haut-Brion and Château La Mission Haut-Brion. The 2025 vintage was unusually warm, early, and dry in Bordeaux, producing a white with more richness and concentration while retaining freshness.
The 2025 blend is 51% Sauvignon Blanc, 26% Sémillon and 23% Muscadelle. Sauvignon Blanc provides freshness and citrus, while the relatively substantial Sémillon and Muscadelle components give the wine more body, aromatic complexity and texture than a straightforward Sauvignon Blanc.
Look for grapefruit, tropical fruit and delicate flowers, developing into apricot, white peach, ripe pear and stone fruit. The palate begins crisp and tangy, then becomes broader and richer through the middle, with subtle buttery nuances and a long finish. The winery describes the overall balance as combining freshness with opulence.

2025 Guerrieri Rizzardi Cuvée XVII Valpolicella Classico DOC — Veneto, Italy
The 2025 Cuvée XVII Valpolicella Classico comes from Guerrieri Rizzardi’s family vineyards in Negrar, in the historic Classico zone of Valpolicella. The vineyards include Pojega, Calcarole, Rovereti and Tomenighe, with clay-sandy, limestone-rich soils.
The 2025 blend is 50% Corvina & Corvinone, 30% Rondinella, 10% Merlot and 10% Croatina. It shows classic marasca cherry and red cherry, with darker berry fruit, spice, and subtle savory notes. It’s medium-bodied, round and fresh, emphasizing pure fruit rather than the richer, sweeter-fruited character associated with Ripasso or Amarone.
Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation are completed before the wine ages 3–12 months in stainless steel and concrete. There is no oak, which helps preserve its fresh cherry fruit and bright character.

This is excellent with pizza, pasta Bolognese, roast chicken, pork, salami, charcuterie, veal, rabbit, and lighter grilled meats. I’d serve it slightly cool, around 57–59°F.
2018 Clarendelle Bordeaux Rouge — Bordeaux, France
The 2018 Clarendelle Bordeaux Rouge is produced by Clarence Dillon Wines, the family company behind Château Haut-Brion and Château La Mission Haut-Brion. Clarendelle is designed as an approachable expression of Bordeaux, emphasizing elegance and balance rather than heavy extraction.
The 2018 is 83% Merlot, 13% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Cabernet Franc. It is therefore decidedly Merlot-driven, giving the wine a supple, generous character. The winery describes black cherry and blackcurrant, followed by licorice and spice. The tannins are fine and velvety, with enough structure to give the wine classic Bordeaux character without making it overly austere.
At eight years old, the 2018 is showing some attractive development alongside its dark fruit—think plum, cassis, and black cherry with spice, subtle earthy notes, and softer tannins. The producer recommends opening or decanting it for about one hour before serving.
